Digital skills shortage blights sector growth

Latest research by Chinwag Jobs, the UK’s leading recruitment website for digital media, reveals that with a limited talent pool to trawl, there are not enough big fish to go around.

Some 97 per cent of respondents in the Chinwag survey found it either difficult or impossible to attract suitably qualified digital staff for their businesses, with three-quarters (76 per cent) reporting problems persuading staff to stick around once employed.

Salaries range from under £20k to over £60k with plenty of roles, both in house and agency side advertised at every level. Not all companies pay the same wither there typically being a £5-10K variation in salary for roles at a similar level.
